Why Raffia?
Raffia palm fiber is naturally durable and hand-dyeable, which is why the red, white, and blue of the flag motif holds its color without the plastic feel of synthetic alternatives. Every placemat is handwoven, so small variations are a mark of real craftsmanship, not a defect.
