In-house Multidisciplinary Designer (UK)

Are you a talented and creative multidisciplinary designer with a passion for illustration, textile design and crafting, and staying on top of the latest interior and fashion trends? Are you able to work both as part of a team and independently? Do you have an urban sensibility and enjoy travelling?

Meri Meri is looking for a designer in our Cheltenham studio who can work within our house style while bringing fresh and unique designs to our brand. Our ideal candidate has experience in various design fields, with a strong focus on illustration, textile design and crafting.

As a designer at Meri Meri, you'll work with a team of talented creatives to design and develop our signature party ware, dress up, home decor and children's products. You'll have the opportunity to bring your unique style to our brand while staying true to our aesthetic and values.

We value creativity, innovation, and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and be able to deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines. Familiarity with Adobe illustrator is preferred.

Creative Artworker 

This is a great opportunity for a student/recent graduate or for someone who just want to change career path, to get work experience in an in-house studio. The role is based in our Cheltenham studio, full time 37.5 hours. Attention to detail and willingness to learn are essential for this role.

Please note this is not a design role. 

Start date: ASAP

Salary: Dependant on experience 

Key skills

  • Attention to detail and hardworking are the most important qualities we’re seeking from a candidate
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – will Illustrator being a distinct advantage. 
  • Capable of picking up new programs quickly
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Creating and updating print ready artwork.
  • Making mock ups of products 
  • Provide support to other members of the team

You will learn:

  • You will develop your understanding of print
  • To develop your skills within Adobe Creative Suite
  • The pre-production process, from brief to sampling

Account Manager 

Status: Full-time

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (hybrid working)

This role is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key international distributors and sales rep groups. It focuses on driving sales performance, ensuring brand consistency, optimising inventory flow, and identifying opportunities for expansion within assigned territories.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

 

Account Management & Growth

  • Develop annual business strategies and sales targets in partnership with distributors and sales rep groups.
  • Identify growth opportunities across new categories, seasonal launches, and market expansion.
  • Monitor and drive order frequency and order values to elevate sales revenues.
  • Analyse sales data, inventory levels and market trends to drive informed decision-making
  • Lead range reviews, pricing discussions, and promotional planning.
  • Support forecasting and demand planning to ensure optimal stock availability.

 Relationship Management

  • Build strong, long-term partnerships with distributors and sales rep groups.
  • Conduct regular business reviews (quarterly and annually).
  • Represent the brand in market visits, trade shows and meetings.

 Brand Management

  • Ensure brand guidelines, digital and in-store merchandising standards are upheld across markets.
  • Partner with marketing to support campaigns, launches, and trade initiatives.
  • Provide distributors and sales rep groups with tools and training to effectively represent the brand.

 Operational Management

  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to resolve logistics and fulfilment issues.
  • Ensure smooth order processing and timely communication of product updates.
  • Maintain accurate account records and reporting.

 Skills & Qualifications of the ideal candidate:

  • Experience in international account management, distributor management, or sales rep group management.
  • Experience working with consumer goods, lifestyle brands, giftware or children’s products preferred.
  • Ability to manage forecasting, ongoing management and goal setting.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Suite)
  • Proficiency in Netsuite is preferred.

InsideSales – Full Time Sales Manager

The
Position

The
primary focus will be to manage our sales rep agencies, international distributors
and our independent customers across the U.S. Will engage in business
prospecting activities, and cultivate new business opportunities. This will
include developing new, and existing relationships, and maintaining an
exceptional customer experience throughout the process: establishing
profit-making relationships with new and existing muti-site customers as well
as proactively contacting clients to maintain a consistent high level of delivery
service. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, be a
generalist with sales experience looking to make a career move into an
expanding company, someone who is well rounded and who will be invested in the
company’s growth.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the NSM
    to expand Meri Meri in the US market with a primary focus in the
    independent/gift & specialty space
  • Manage and support
    our network of sales rep agencies across the U.S, including new rep hire
    and on-boarding, ongoing management and goal setting, and new product
    training as needed.
  • Foster and develop
    existing business relationships with our international distribution
    partners
  • Ownership of B2B
    tool, Faire, in driving brand marketing, communications and revenue to
    achieve goals
  • Represent Meri
    Meri with a positive and friendly attitude
  • Plans, executes,
    and attends trade shows specific to territory and channels, supporting all
    reps and agencies.
  • Complete paperwork
    thoroughly and promptly
  • Maintain and
    update customer files
  • Ensure customer
    satisfaction (problem solving)
  • Make sure orders
    are handled accurately in a timely manner
  • Follow up on
    pending issues/orders
  • Perform all other
    duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of direct
    customer sales experience or relevant experience in beauty, giftware,
    fashion and/or home market segments
  • Must have
    outstanding oral & written communication, presentation and listening
    skills; as well as the ability to act with diplomacy.
  • Strong computer
    skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Pivot Tables)
  • Strong business
    acumen and exceptional analytical skills
  •  Requires a
    pro-active team player who thrives in a goal-oriented, dynamic, and
    ever-changing work environment.
  • Must have
    flexibility in work schedule, including the ability to travel and attend
    regional tradeshows and sales meetings as needed.
