Mother’s Day – Flowers Everywhere

Fresh flowers are always a treat, but they’re only short-lived. This year, tell the kids you’d love a floral creation that you can keep forever. Or why not make it with them to send to granny?

The Meri Meri studio has designed the most gorgeous floral garland, cunningly crafted from napkins, for you to make (or if you’d like it for yourself, make sure the kids and your partner get to read this blog!). We’ve also got lots of tips on how to make Mother’s Day the prettiest celebration of the year.

Make A Gorgeous Floral Garland

Our garland will instantly uplift your dining or sitting room and make the space look absolutely stunning. Click here for the step-by-step instructions, where we used our assorted small pastel napkins and rainbow napkins.

Make A Floral Fantastic Party
Transform the table

How about making a tablecloth from kraft paper, which the kids can paint or draw on for a unique look? Watercolors work especially well - place down ‘blobs’ of color and blow with a straw to make awesome floral shapes. Lay the table with plates, napkins, and cups with floral designs. We’ve got several beautifully designed and crafted ranges, which you can view here.

Put paper flowers, such as these, in vases to brighten up your tablescape. Or why not make some extra flowers when creating our garland and place along the table?

Food almost too pretty to eat

Mini sandwiches and cupcakes look delightful for a Mother’s Day party. Use cookie cutters to cut sandwiches into charming shapes. Make your cupcakes with stunning cupcake cases like those in our Flower Bouquet Cupcake Kit. Add toppers or swirl the frosting so they resemble flower petals, then place on a plate or cupcake stand to look like an edible bouquet!

Delicious drinks

No celebration is complete without a refreshing drink (plus kids love to make mocktails!). Here are three of our favorites which mums of all ages will love. They’re all made with just three ingredients or less:

Peach mint mocktail. Sparkling peach soda, fresh mint and diced peaches. Yum, it’s like an alcohol-free Bellini.
Mango-ginger mocktail. Ginger ale, mango juice and fresh lemon juice. Very invigorating!
Pomegranate mimosa. Sparking apple juice and pomegranate juice. Fruity and delicious.
